MIND-PROJECT "CHAPTER 1 & 2" - GPT ACCESS

"Mind project" is a personal project where I store a consist framework of philosophical ideas backed by science. This is a preview of an unfinished piece and premier access to a GPT that is shaped to think with the laws of the framework in mind. The GPT prioritizes clarity, knowledge, and consistency and is efficient in building courses to help you learn with a first principle mindset, teaching knowledge and insight conceptually from the ground up. Everything is hand written for the sake of intention and the spirit behind it.

Chapter 1:
Awareness

Do you think before you speak? When you read that sentence did you just hear the recitation of a common phrase or did you discern the content of the sentence. To know is not to understand. When a thought comes to mind, I both say it and hear it at the same time. Notice these are two different mechanics as the mind processes thousands of thoughts a day independent of your awareness. Also notice that for a small moment you can be aware of the mind independent of thought. But in order to think, the mind has to already have a clear direction or train of thought that I am not entirely aware of. A simple thought experiment, start a sentence in your head and before you complete it, stop thinking. It’s fascinating that without completing the sentence, you know how the sentence would have ended. You knew because you were never the one creating the words but extracting them from the subconscious through observation. So, thoughts must exist before the expression of them. Take note of the three parts of the mind; Awareness, the one who hears and sees, thoughts, the one who speaks, and the subconscious, the origin of mind content.

You can infinitely describe both the subconscious and conscious mind. The uniqueness about the awareness is the opposite. It has one job and one true description, which exists through observation. It knows, perceives, and observes. The paradox here is the only one with no real boundaries is the one who lacks description entirely.

The awareness in the mind is the only one worthy of taking the title as your identity. All other aspects of the psyche are inconsistent and are parts of external systems. For example your body is one system compiled of several sub-systems and the removal of any part of your body does not make you any less you. Lose your hearing and you still remain, lose a hand or even a kidney and you still remain. If not senses or physical body parts, the next viable assumption of who you are is taken to the mind where the natural question arises, are you your thoughts? But you come to quickly realise that thoughts are directly correlated to your attention; what you see, what you hear, and right now what you read, becomes the thoughts in your head(This is known as the attention market in marketing). What remains is your awareness, the part of your psyche who observes, and ultimately creates your reality.

Through understanding awareness, your true self, you will begin to understand some inconsistencies in the traditional way of thinking. Because awareness or existence cannot take on descriptors, any thing that you try to add on to your identity limits who you are entirely and inherently comes with equal and opposite descriptors. Take the phrase “I am good.” The word good cannot exist independently and must reference a system or scale where bad (and everything in between) exist in order to accurately be defined. The same thing can be said about financial status. Rich exist because poverty exists. And if either ceases to exist then the meaning of the other would as well. Because it’s not the individual term that we cling to, but the contrast or difference between the two that allows meaning. Lastly, consider the spectrum of light. Red is the lowest vibration of visible light and violet the highest. Both are different perspectives of the same scale. Combining this altogether, you come to realize that poverty is the seed of rich and is neither good nor bad and neither are in opposition of one another. This isn’t to suggest shying away from descriptors - the suggestion is to not define yourself. Descriptions are a part of systems that require maintenance therefore require energy. Poverty and Riches are both apart of systems that have to be maintained and risk leaking into one another. But who you are, is the same today as you were when you were born, you cannot change, nor does your identity require maintenance.

Chapter 2:
Perceived Identity

Think of the subconscious mind like a horizontal landscape. Within this flat world are coordinates with different shapes and sizes. These coordinates are called regions and exhibit a few fundamental characteristics; All coordinates are made of many entangled nodes (systems) , and all entangled nodes loop, creating sustainability and life. Mind space is a term coined to represent the geometry of the subconscious, awareness, and the reading of the subconscious expressed through conscious thought.

Now that we’ve established your true identity, we have to establish a mechanic of your awareness that gives the impression of identity change or a perceived identity. Naturally the next progression of this is how it works. These are things that you are familiar with and naturally follow. Shifting from knowing to understanding it will allow you to stop resisting the very change that is required for your life to progress. The subconscious mind is the universal accountant, storing all information from life. Within the subconscious mind are regions made of complex systems. Complex systems are regions in the mind that determine everything about your perceived identity. Understand no part of the mind lives in isolation, every region is compiled of thoughts, feelings, habits, and perceptions about the world that essentially loop. Loops are how systems survive. This makes an insightful implication about life that it’s not thoughts that produce reality but position of mind. This also implies something pivotal to this framework, thoughts, emotions, and reality itself is data to be interpreted by awareness to determine where awareness is positioned. The downstream functionality of the mind is region—> thoughts—> world. And naturally we observe the world, produce thoughts and emotions about it, which loops up back into the region, creating an endless cycle.

Because the systems of the mind are dynamic, nodes or individual pieces of the system connect in ways that cannot be fully understood. In other words, two seemingly unrelated objects in mind space can connect and influence each other and the only way to understand what is connected is through action then observation. Because anything that manifests from regions or position of the mind is secondary (downstream), your thoughts and reality should be used as data to interpret not who you are, but in which lens you are perceiving. This phenomena explains why isolating a habit that you want to change feels impossible to follow through. One habit is potentially connected to countless other habits, thoughts, emotions, and perceptions about the world. Some nodes have more influence because they have more connections and sometimes even deeper connections. Any attempt to change your life is a risk to your current life (or life system). And because as a society we have interwoven our awareness into our complex systems of the mind(convincing ourselves that we are our habits), the very system you are trying to escape is fighting to keep you there - as a result of a fundamental program of man, survive. This is precisely why your life resists change. The natural law of awareness is to observe. Life is experienced through observation. When awareness enters a system, it cannot isolate and attach to one part of it. And the applied inversion of that is you cannot change any part of a system without risking the whole. If you desire to change your career, you risk your friends, your sleep schedule, your diet, your hobbies. And any attempt to maintain anything that naturally falls apart as you seek your career change, is in fact resisting the career change itself. In perfect practice awareness would enter a system of the mind and observe it, feel the emotions, listen to the thoughts, commit to actions and examine the world through that lens, without feeling the sense of “this is happening to me” instead of “this is happening through me”.

A problem arises at stronger identities that lower versions of yourself don’t experience. When you enter a system that is naturally clear, stable, and functions cleanly- the ability to observe the system while you’re in it becomes easier. Thoughts are organized, emotions are steady, life appears slow organized, and predictable. However a system with clarity can perceive when it’s being observed- and in this instance observation is what keeps a system from performing naturally. So not only can observation bring you into a new region of the mind, it can distort a self sustaining system because oftentimes observation invites judgement. And one imperative idea is that judgment never comes from within a system. Asking if this is good or back, fast or slow, worth the time- are ideas that can only form from outside the region you’re currently in. The reason lower regions do not struggle with this same idea is because the systems are complex, chaotic, and lack the necessary empty space to notice outside intervention- or at bare minimum make sense of it. This phenomenon is why flow states break and why they’re hard to maintain. Flow states are precisely defined by action without narration. Higher regions have higher awareness - which simulates more conscious thoughts. And when awareness realizes that you are performing well, the system begins to incorporate observation into its output and action in space becomes delayed in time, so rhythm and fluidity is lost.

Governance

Governance tackles a misconception of authorship in reality. Complex systems are finite in essence or energy, but they are infinite in potential renderings. Because the subconscious is made up of geometry and not human ideologies you’ll notice the same spirit can manifest in different ways. This means it is your job to manage probabilities, not outcomes. Suppose you were standing in a region defined as fear. The essence of that energy is dark, gloomy, and likely scary. The feeling of this geometry is agreed through observation of every outside region. However further interpretations of that region arise in thought. And those thought potentials are infinite and region specific. One moment the mind interprets the geometry of fear and reads “someone is near with evil intentions”, another moment the same region renders “if you don’t run now it’ll be too late.” This is the same energy expression, interpreted differently. The fear region expresses itself through geometry, and the ego observes this geometry through the subconscious mind and interprets it to the best of its ability. Meaning is formed through your position of mind not actual truth given from reality itself. You've heard this concept simplified as “perception is reality.” You are not the author of these thoughts, nor the author of the potential actions, but you are responsible for choosing where you allow awareness to dwell. Understand that the only thing that survives in reality, are things that repeat. The law of governance is meant to show you that your life is predominately loops of the region you currently occupy. And that regional position determines not only what you think but what you do. Lastly, understand that the region of fear is performing exactly as intended. To attempt to make sense or fix the region of fear is futile because it is obeying its own nature. The only remaining solution is to reposition yourself.
